
Finance & Controlling Officer (gn)

Your Tasks
- Organisation-wide support in all financial administrative processes, especially in project management and financial controlling
- Controlling of all projects, especially externally funded projects (e.g. budget monitoring, quality control of reporting) as well as support of project leaders in the preparation of financial reports
- Monitoring contractual agreements and regulations (procurement rules) in connection with third-party funding contracts
- Support and coordination of financial accounting for the international projects, including support and coordination for annual audits as well as special audits
- Support in the processing of international payments and in the disposition of funds
- Risk controlling (currency risks and third-party funding risks)
- Further development of standard operating procedures and best practices (regarding finance, cash management, accounting, controlling, procurement, inventory management, etc.)
- Further development of the digitalisation of financial processes at Headquarter and in the project areas
- Travel to international projects to optimise and audit financial processes
Your Profile
- University Degree in the field of Finance and Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Controlling/Accounting
- More than three years of professional experience in Accounting and/or Controlling
- Confident handling of common MS-Office products, especially Excel
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English and preferably German)
- A passion for analytics and holistic thinking
- Competence and experience in intercultural communication
- Reliable and conscientious way of working
- Ability to work in a team and high social competence
- Identification with the nature conservation goals of FZS
