Your Tasks
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to lead our efforts in securing vital resources to support our ambitious growth agenda. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of grant managers and fundraisers, developing and executing fundraising strategies, and managing relationships with both public and private donors. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead a department within our organization, making a lasting impact on global conservation efforts.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of grant managers and fundraisers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to your team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s ten-year strategy.
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support for our conservation initiatives.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with public and private donors, ensuring effective communication and stewardship.
- Explore and assess opportunities for carbon financing and corporate partnerships, understanding the potential risks and benefits for the organization.
- Manage the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve fundraising goals.
- Provide regular reports to the executive team and board of directors on fundraising progress and results.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in communications, marketing, non-profit management or related field
- 7+ years of professional experience in fundraising or grant management, with a track record of successfully securing grants and donations.
- At least 5 years of extensive leadership experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; other languages are beneficial
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies
- Knowledge of carbon financing and corporate partnerships is a plus
- Passion for nature conservation and a commitment to our organization’s mission
