For three years, Ukraine has been suffering from the consequences of Russia’s invasion. As people struggle for their safety, the protection of the country’s unique natural landscapes is increasingly overlooked. But now more than ever, the protected areas of the Carpathians – one of Europe’s last great wilderness regions – need our support.
The Carpathians are home to ancient forests protected by UNESCO, rare wildlife, and extraordinary biodiversity. At the same time, they offer millions of people in Ukraine a place to recuperate and connect with nature – especially in these difficult times.
The war has left its mark here as well: forests are under threat, infrastructure has been destroyed, and there is a lack of funding for the ongoing work of park administrations. Despite daily challenges and air-raid alarms, our dedicated team on the ground continues to work tirelessly to protect these areas, repair vehicles, equip rangers, and give children moments of joy and respite from the war through nature experiences. No other organisation in Ukraine provides such direct and comprehensive support to protected areas. This work gives people hope and strength – and with your help, we can continue it.
Protect the Carpathians – safeguard nature, bring hope! Now, we need your support to conserve protected areas, equip rangers, and provide children with healing experiences in nature. Join us. Thank you!

Our work gives people courage and hope. With your help, we can continue.
